These Terms of Use (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and JotMe Limited (“JotMe,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the Services.
These Terms include important information about automatic renewals, limitations of liability, user responsibilities, recording laws, and dispute resolution.
We continuously improve the Services, which may require updating these Terms. JotMe may modify these Terms at any time.
If a material change affects you, we will notify you by email or through the application. If you unsubscribe or disable notifications, you may not receive updates.
If you continue using the Services after updates become effective, you accept the updated Terms.
Subscription fees already paid are non-refundable.
Your privacy is important to us. Please refer to the JotMe Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, store, and protect your information.
The Services are not intended for individuals under age 16.
We will delete any such information upon discovery.
To use JotMe, you may need to create an account with accurate and current information.
You agree to:
• Comply with recording and wiretapping laws
• Protect your account credentials
• Use the Services only for authorized purposes
If using JotMe for an organization, you confirm you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms.
JotMe provides real-time translation and transcription using microphone and system audio.
You are solely responsible for:
• Obtaining all required participant consent
• Complying with local, national, and international recording laws
JotMe does not monitor your compliance with recording laws.
JotMe uses machine learning models. AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies.
You should independently verify any information that may impact legal, medical, financial, or safety-critical decisions.
You may not:
• Violate any laws
• Upload unlawful or harmful content
• Interfere with or disrupt the Services
• Attempt unauthorized access
• Reverse engineer or scrape the Services
• Misuse system resources
• Infringe intellectual property rights
• Misrepresent your identity
Violation of these restrictions may lead to account suspension or termination.
JotMe owns all intellectual property rights in the Services.
You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Services for your personal or business use.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Services without permission.
“User Data” includes:
• Audio you upload or stream
• Meeting transcripts, translations, and content
• Notes, memos, prompts, and files
• AI-generated outputs
You are responsible for the legality, accuracy, and permissions for all User Data.
You grant JotMe a limited license to:
• Receive and process User Data
• Generate translations and transcripts
• Provide real-time and post-meeting AI services
• Modify User Data for technical purposes
You retain full ownership of your User Data.
JotMe may use aggregated, anonymized data to:
• Improve model performance
• Enhance service quality
• Ensure accuracy and safety
• Analyze system usage
Aggregated data contains no personally identifiable information.
You may share transcripts, meeting notes, and AI-generated content.
If you connect JotMe to third-party services (Google Drive, Notion, Slack), you authorize JotMe to share information with those services as required to operate integrations.
JotMe may modify or discontinue parts of the Services at any time.
We attempt to notify users of significant changes, but notice is not guaranteed.
Some Services require payment, including:
• Premium plans
• Team plans
• Translation minutes
• AI credits
• Enterprise licenses
Pricing and billing terms presented at signup are part of these Terms.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled.
Charges already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.
You may cancel your subscription or delete your account at any time.
JotMe may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms.
Upon termination, we may delete User Data in accordance with applicable laws.
Because JotMe offers a freemium model for evaluation, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available”.
JotMe makes no warranties regarding:
• Merchantability
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Accuracy or reliability
• Availability or performance
• Non-infringement
• Error-free or uninterrupted use
All use is at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, JotMe and its officers, employees, contractors, suppliers, and affiliates disclaim all liability for:
• Indirect or consequential damages
• Loss of profits
• Loss of data
• Business interruption
• Errors or inaccuracies in AI outputs
• Violations of recording laws
• Misuse of the Services
Because JotMe offers a free tier to evaluate the Services, you are responsible for ensuring the Services meet your needs.
If liability cannot be fully disclaimed, JotMe’s total liability will not exceed:
• The amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim, or
• Zero dollars if you have not paid JotMe
You agree to indemnify and hold JotMe harmless from claims arising from:
• Your use of the Services
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of recording or privacy laws
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Before taking formal action, both parties agree to attempt good-faith informal resolution.
If unresolved after thirty days, either party may elect binding arbitration.
Arbitration will:
• Take place in London, England
• Be conducted in English
• Follow the rules of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb)
• Be overseen by a single qualified arbitrator
Small claims court remains available where eligible.
To the extent permitted by law, disputes must be brought individually.
You may opt out of arbitration within thirty days by writing to:

If arbitration is opted out or unenforceable, disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.
• You may not assign these Terms without our consent.
• If any provision is unenforceable, it will be adjusted to the minimum extent necessary.
• These Terms represent the entire agreement between you and JotMe.
