View usage detailsHow do I translate a PDF?
Open Translate → Files in JotMe Desktop, choose the file and destination language, review the starting AI credit charge, and confirm. Download the translated copy once it is ready.
Will the translation keep the formatting?
JotMe preserves layout and structure where the format allows. Review tables, line breaks, page layout, and figures in the translated file. No automated workflow can be assumed to reproduce every complex layout perfectly.
Can I translate a scanned PDF?
Results depend on scan quality and text recognition. Test a representative PDF and review the translated file before relying on it. A standalone PNG or JPG scan can use Image translation; that is a separate workflow with different limits.
How much does document translation cost?
It starts at 10 AI credits for up to 50,000 characters, plus 1 credit for each additional 5,000 characters. Review the confirmation and final usage rather than treating the starting charge as a flat price for every file.
Can I share the translated document and the original?
Yes. Shared translated files let browser recipients view the translation and original. Downloading and commenting have their own sign-in and permission requirements.
Is my content processed online?
Yes. JotMe processes content online, including in the desktop app. Review the privacy guide and your organization’s requirements for the material you plan to use.
