Privacy and your dataOpen your meeting as usual, then start JotMe Desktop alongside it. Allow microphone and system audio, choose Online and your languages, and start live translation. Read captions for a personal view, share a translation link for guests, or set up voice-to-voice translation before the call.
Yes. Fast (Audio) supports listening-only, speaking-only, and two-way voice translation. For an online meeting, complete the virtual-audio setup on Mac or Windows so JotMe receives the call and sends translated speech to the right device. Use headphones to avoid feedback.
Follow the voice setupYes. Download JotMe and start with the free plan to try live meeting translation. Choose your languages, join your usual meeting, and follow the translated captions.
No. For personal captions, only you need the desktop app. With a shared session, guests can open a browser link or scan a QR code on their phone or computer, without an account or installation. The host manages the shared session.
See the guest experienceTeams offers its own translated captions with eligible licenses. To use JotMe instead, leave Teams open, allow JotMe to capture computer audio, choose your languages, and start translation. Spoken translation needs the additional virtual-audio setup; translated captions alone do not.
Explore JotMe for TeamsGoogle Meet has built-in translated captions on eligible Workspace plans. JotMe is another option when you want a translation workflow that also follows you between meeting apps. Use JotMe Desktop alongside Meet, or explore the separate Google Meet Chrome extension.
Explore Google Meet translationDesktop caption translation has 200+ language and regional output options. Recognition, translated voice, and the Chrome extension have their own coverage. Check both the language being spoken and the language you want to read or hear; an output-language count is not a promise that every mode supports every pair.
Check your languagesIt depends on the model. Basic → Multilingual follows a defined set of 10 languages. Premium Quality recognises English alongside the selected supported language. Fast (Audio) automatically recognises 100+ spoken languages. Choose the right model before recording; the spoken-language setting is locked during a session.
The saved desktop session lets you return to the transcript and enhanced notes. Review the decisions, names, and dates before sharing. Joining a live guest link does not automatically give someone access to the saved recording.
See meeting notes sharingJotMe captures meeting audio on your computer, but that does not mean processing is offline. Saved sessions can include audio, transcripts, and notes in your account. JotMe’s documentation states that customer data is not used to train its AI models. Follow your organisation’s recording and consent requirements.
Read privacy and data detailsMicrophone access captures your side; system-audio access captures the meeting. Check both permissions and the selected devices. On macOS, quit and reopen JotMe after enabling system-audio permission. If translated speech is missing, also check the virtual devices and routing in the voice menu.
