JotMe for individuals, explained

The setup, scope, and practical details.

Read the getting-started guide
How do I get started?

Choose the platform that fits your task, create an account, and sign in. For an online meeting, open the desktop app, choose your languages and audio devices, then start live translation.

Can I try JotMe for free?

Yes. The free plan includes limited translation minutes, transcription minutes, and AI credits. Your available allowance appears in your account. Check the current pricing and usage guides before choosing a paid plan.

Should I use the desktop app or the mobile app?

Use the desktop app for online meetings and audio playing on your computer. Use the mobile app for in-person conversations and translation on the go. Mobile does not capture phone-call or system audio, and live mobile translation is not saved as an audio recording.

Does JotMe work with Zoom, Teams, and Google Meet?

Yes. The desktop app runs alongside your meeting platform, using your microphone and computer audio. You do not need a meeting integration, and JotMe does not join the call as a bot. Grant the required audio permissions before your first session.

Can I use JotMe in a browser without installing an app?

Yes. The web app lets you join shared sessions, review notes and transcripts, translate files, and use multilingual chat. Use the desktop app when you need to capture an online meeting’s audio from your computer.

Can I review my notes on another device?

Yes. Sign in with the same account on desktop, mobile, or the web app to review existing meeting notes and transcripts. Shared content and available actions depend on access permissions.

Can I add names and terms JotMe might not know?

Yes. Add names, acronyms, and specialist terms to custom vocabulary before your conversation. Review important names, numbers, and commitments in the transcript, especially when the audio is unclear.

Can I use JotMe without everyone else installing it?

Yes. You can run the desktop app for yourself alongside your meeting platform. If you share a live session, participants can join through a browser link or QR code, subject to the host’s plan.

Can I get a transcript without translating?

Yes. Transcription captures speech as text. Live translation adds a translated view when you need another language.

Does Voice Keyboard translate what I say?

Yes. In Voice typing, choose Translate and an Output language. Hold Fn on macOS or Ctrl + Win on Windows, speak, and release the shortcut to insert translated text at your cursor.

Which languages are available?

Coverage depends on the feature and recognition mode. The desktop translation list includes 200+ language and dialect options; check the language guide for the exact task you need.
