Web Engineer / UI & UX Designer
Design and build clear, useful web experiences, then improve them through SEO and user behavior insights.
The work
Own the website experience from an initial idea to a working page. You’ll combine UI and UX design with web engineering, use analytics to understand how people discover and navigate JotMe, and turn those insights into thoughtful improvements.
What you’ll do
- Design and build responsive, accessible website pages and interactions with React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
- Improve page layouts, navigation, and user journeys directly in the source code. Use Figma or other mockups before implementation when helpful.
- Analyze Microsoft Clarity, Google Search Console (GSC), Google Analytics 4 (GA4), and product analytics to identify usability problems and prioritize improvements.
- Run focused website experiments and review engagement, usability, and conversion results to guide the next iteration.
- Use Codex or Claude Code to support web design and implementation, and review the resulting code, visual details, and behavior before delivery.
What you’ll bring
- A portfolio of websites or interfaces you have both designed and built, with clear explanations of your decisions.
- Strong HTML, CSS, and JavaScript or TypeScript skills, with practical experience building responsive interfaces.
- Experience using Microsoft Clarity, Google Search Console, GA4, and product analytics to connect search performance, user behavior, and product usage to UI and UX decisions.
- Practical experience using Codex or Claude Code for web design and development, with the ability to evaluate and refine their output.
- An understanding of accessibility, web performance, and how to turn user feedback and analytics into better experiences.
